Helpful Gluten Free Tips For Enjoying The Footy!

Take snacks with you!
Food is expensive at the footy, and gluten free options are really limited. Why waste time standing in line waiting to be disappointed? Take plenty of snack foods and chips with you. Pack some sandwiches and healthy treats as well.

Cook up a fuss free BBQ!
The easiest way to BBQ is to have a totally gluten free one. These days most sausages are gluten free, and there are plenty of gluten free sauces suitable for marinating meats for tasty dining. Your guests need never know! Of course, don't forget bread for the snags and chops, and a healthy salad or two! Looking for some easy dessert ideas? Find them here.

Let hosts know that you're gluten free!
It's always a difficult path to tread, but it's best to let hosts know that you're gluten free well ahead of time. Australians are generous by nature, and most people go out of their way to accommodate dietary needs. If the situation seems a little tricky, in terms of food availability or cross contamination, you can always offer to bring some gluten free food as a good compromise. Whatever you do, don't stay at home. Get out there and enjoy some socialising!
