Jalisco Mexican - Perfect For Christmas Functions!

Jalisco Mexican, located on Chapel Street Windsor, is one restaurant that dishes out plenty of good times, with a great selection of Margaritas and a colourful food menu that’s mostly gluten free and all about sharing.

Try a little bit of everything, especially crowd favourites like the tiger prawn tacos, chorizo tacos, grilled corn with queso (cheese) and the tender beef fajitas, served with fresh guacamole, salsa, and corn tortillas.
Score a spot in the large beer garden for a bit of sun with your tacos, or opt for the upstairs private dining room that’s great for larger groups or special occasions, from birthdays to end-of-year Christmas functions. Find the Jalisco Mexican feature page here.

Helpful Gluten Free Tips For Christmas!

Here's some more valuable tips, with a Christmas emphasis.

1. If you've been invited to a Christmas function, make sure that you let the function organiser know about your gluten free diet. If it's a catered event, or being held at a restaurant, suggest that you personally contact the food provider about your requirements. This should give you peace of mind, ensure that you're adequately catered for, and it will be one less thing for the organiser to worry about!

2. Invited to a Christmas BBQ, and not sure what's being cooked on the BBQ hotplates? There's two ways around this, depending on how well you know the hosts! If you know them well, cook your gluten free meats in a fry pan on their indoor hotplates (well away from the BBQ). Alternatively, wrap up your meats in aluminium foil and cook them on the BBQ plate, with the foil providing a physical barrier between your food and the rest.
