Almost everything here is gluten free. Coeliac disease is in the family, and the owner has done his homework, so staff are aware of contamination issues. Baking paper is used for toasting, a gluten free tray is used on the salamander, along with separate chopping board, knife and butter.
The food is full of flavour, made with fresh ingredients. Gluten free bread is substituted for regular bread. Breakfast options include full breakfasts, fritters, breakfast bruschetta, eggs benedict, sausages, toasted sandwiches, pancakes, milkshakes... Lunch selections include lamb burgers with locally made relish, chicken parma, hand cut chips (fryer is gluten free), kale & beetroot salad, fried buttermilk chicken, steak sandwich, vegetarian frittata, soup varieties... and the list goes on.
Sweet treats include torte, cakes, and other tasty morsels. In fact, the top row of the cakes cabinet is gluten free!
With indoor and outdoor seating, this contemporary cafe is fully licensed.
