From 1949-1992 the MELOSI family were renowned for their authentic, traditional, but unique Smallgoods. The MELOSI family are back once again. In 2009, Montecatini Specialty Smallgoods commenced with the intention and objective of producing new, innovative and niche products for consumers.
One of the family members has coeliac disease, so the company understands gluten free requirements well. To this end, most Montecatini products are certified gluten free by Coeliac Australia (Mortadella range and Spanish Chorizo are the only products that are NOT gluten free).
Using only high quality Australian pork, the recipes are kept deliciously simple, using authentic fresh ingredients, and natural ingredients wherever possible. The Montecatini range includes sausages, hams, salami, prosciutto, pancetta, bresaola, lombo, coppa, and cotechino.
