Description
Since the early 1980s this upmarket restaurant has been coeliac and gluten free aware. As a result, there's a separate gluten free menu that's 5 pages long. Kitchen staff take care to prevent cross contamination, and a variety of gluten free sauces are used including tamari, hoi sin, oyster and soy. Dishes are thickened with potato starch, and meats for gluten free dishes are stored in separate containers.
House of Chow is a fully Chinese restaurant, with Asian influences and a touch of Thai. Fully licensed, BYO bottled wine is permitted ($20 corkage per bottle). For special occasions there are two private function rooms - one hosts 20 guests, and the other hosts 50 guests.
