Chang's Asian Foods present an extensive selection of authentic Asian noodles and sauces that are gluten free. The sauce range includes Oyster, Hoisin, Black Bean, Fish, Thai Sweet Chilli, Soy (Dark and Light), Black Pepper, Teriyaki, Japanese Ponzu, Yakitori, Tonkatsu, Tamari Light Soy, Tamari Black Bean, Sweet Chilli, Tamari Oyster, and Tamari Hoisin. Chang's also produce Sesame Oil and Oriental Fried Noodle Salad Dressing.
Chang's range of gluten free noodles includes Rice Vermicelli and Rice Noodle Thai Style, Fried Rice Noodles, Spaghetti, Shell Pasta, and Macaroni (all made with rice flour). Chang's also produce Super Lo-Cal Wok Ready Noodles (200g pack, with less kilojoules and carbs than the average slice of bread.
Foods carrying a gluten-free claim must have been tested and found to contain no detectable gluten. By law, however, the manufacturer is still required to list all ingredients, which can cause confusion. Please note that in the manufacture of Chang’s Soy based sauces, gluten is first completely removed from the wheat flour. This leaves wheat starch, which is the extract of wheat named as an ingredient. Both sauces have been tested and found to contain no detectable gluten. All Chang's products are tested by an Australian Laboratory.
