Both members and the general public are welcome at Box Hill Golf Club. The experienced head chef has coeliac disease. Consequently, every item on the Restaurant menu can be made gluten free! The Restaurant is the more formal dining area of the club, with linen tablecloths and napkins, table service, spacious surrounds, fireplace in Winter, and great views over the golf course. Open on Thursday and Friday nights, this increasingly popular venue offers two courses + barista coffee for only $30, and a delicious seafood platter for 2 (gluten free available on request) for $80, including a bottle of wine, dessert and barista coffee.
House favourites include BBQ Pork Belly (with crispy skin and oh so tender!), Smoked Salmon Arancini, and lamb shanks. Gluten free desserts include Apple and Rhubarb Crumble, Mixed Berry Crepes, and Chocolate Lava Pudding.
Alternatively, the Bistro is open every day, with more than 50% of the menu being gluten free, and suitable dishes are marked on the menu. Please speak to staff about your gluten free requirements when placing your order.
The club also hosts special functions, with two function rooms available. The functions menu is around 90% gluten free, so please phone staff to discuss your next function needs. Perfect for engagement parties, weddings, corporate conferences, community-based events, or memorable parties.
