The Turret Cafe has also been recognised for its cakes by the Baking Industry Association of Victoria, winning first place. Specialty cakes, including gluten free wedding cakes, friands and florentines are all made on the premises, ensuring their quality. The Turret Cafe has many gluten free meal options available as well. From a hearty cooked breakfast with gluten free bread, through to lunch and sweet treats with your afternoon coffee. Try the slow cooked lamb (oven baked for up to four hours), the daily risotto, or perhaps one of the chicken or beef curries. Set in a beautiful historic Ballarat building constructed in the late 1880's, complete with the ornate turret from which the cafe was named, The Turret Cafe has a casual, relaxed dining atmosphere with warm cosy fireplaces to enhance the setting.
