The good news is that 'The Sugar Cube' have developed a delicious gluten free recipe, so all waffles can be made gluten free (50 cents extra per waffle). Waffle ingredients are all natural, with no added preservatives, colours or flavours. Unlike American style waffles, Liège Belgian waffles are made with yeast raised dough. A key ingredient is the specially imported chunks of Belgian ‘pearl sugar’. When cooked on the waffle iron, the sugar caramelises on the outside, resulting in a rich, sweet waffle with a crunchy outside. The waffles are served with a range of delicious, quality toppings including fresh fruit, real maple syrup, melted Belgian chocolate, ice cream and homemade toffee sauce. Customers can choose from the Waffle Menu, or order a custom made waffle. Either way, with combinations such as 'Chocoholic', 'Ultimate' and 'Mmm...Maple', there's plenty of delicious choices to enjoy! Wafflepops are half sized Belgian waffles on a stick, available singularly and in selection boxes or 6 or 12. They are eaten like a lollipop, served either warm or at room temperature and can be ordered with a variety of delicious toppings. Wash all this down with a drink! Hot drinks on offer include coffees, hot chocolate, white hot chocolate, hot caramel and chai. Cold drinks include milkshakes, smoothies, iced tea and a great selection of frappes. Soy and Rice milk are also available. The Sugar Cube is happy to prepare birthday platters, Wedding cakes or events catering. They take pride in using environmentally friendly packaging.
