The Retreat Hotel, centrally located in Abbotsford, had an old-world charm that was encapsulated by 'The Sullivans' TV series, when the hotel was part of the filming set. Its ambience is warm and cosy, with loads of old world charm including original leadlight features and tiling.

There are plenty of gluten free selections marked on the menu. Approximately two thirds of the menu are gluten free, and other meals are gluten free adaptable. Choose from mains, entrees and desserts.

Popular gluten free choices include garlic bread, cheese and mustard bread, soups, risotto, chicken dishes, vegetable tagine/curry, sticky date pudding, and Bailey's Irish Cream chocolate tart. An added bonus is the gluten free accompaniment sauces.

Private functions are a specialty at The Retreat Hotel. The upstairs function room regularly hosts celebratory events, corporate events, 21st birthdays, engagement, Christening, farewell, birthday, etc. There is a separate gluten free finger food menu available for these events. With seating for 44 guests, or a stand-up function for 80 people, phone the hotel to discuss your individual requirements.
