The restaurant entry is adorned with a huge heritage-listed Fig Tree. One of the best parts about Talay Thai is that most of the dishes are gluten free! Talay Thai literally means 'sea by the sea', and they specialise in seafood dishes, as well as other Thai foods. All meals are prepared from quality ingredients and overflowing with fresh vegetables. Signature dishes include Duck Rolls (entree), Moreton Bay Bugs, whole New Zealand Sole, Crab Fried Rice (using fresh sand crab meat), traditional curries, and Pad Thai. Talay Thai is fully licensed and BYO wine. The restaurant has a friendly, cosy atmosphere. The outside dining area is fully covered and enclosed in Winter. A nostalgic and upbeat mood is created through 60's and 70's music. Group bookings are welcome. Banquets are also available, and can be adapted to suit gluten free requirements.
