History
In essence, the Gluten Free Eating Directory doesn’t really have a history … yet! Established in February 2008, we are endeavouring to build up an all-encompassing gluten free search site that will be a valuable and helpful resource for those of us on a gluten free diet.

Let’s be honest. Many of us have experienced the guesswork, embarrassment and underlying uncertainty of approaching eateries about our gluten free needs. While many places offer a couple of gluten free alternatives these days, wouldn’t it be great to conveniently and easily source eateries that offer extensive choices and understand the gluten free diet? Places where you can feel comfortable and not a burden? And be confident that the people who are cooking and serving know what they are doing? Or to know what products are available on the market and where to buy them? Then there are those special occasions where a weekend away, or longer, can be booked knowing that ‘gluten free’ is understood and embraced, leaving you to relax and enjoy the experience.
